The Right Person for the Marketing Leadership Seat

Dear Visionary,

EOS teaches that the Right Seat needs the Right Person. Someone who Gets it, Wants it, and has the Capacity to succeed.

Many leadership teams have a Marketing Leadership seat on the Accountability Chart. Few have someone who truly GWC's the role.

When I was building UGURUS with EOS, our leadership team didn't have a true financial leader. We could review the numbers, but we couldn't have executive-level financial conversations because no one on the leadership team truly owned that function.

Financial issues stayed on our Issues List longer than they should have. The quality of our decisions suffered, and small problems often became expensive ones that could have been avoided with the right financial leadership.

Now think about your marketing.

The leadership team is discussing:

  • Should we invest more in marketing?
  • Why aren't leads converting?
  • Should we fire the agency?
  • Are these the right Rocks?
  • Is this a strategy or execution problem?

...and nobody in the room truly owns those questions because the right person isn't in the room.

As a result, the same constraints show up:

  • The Visionary is still making most marketing decisions.
  • The Integrator is managing marketing because no one else is.
  • Leadership discussions about growth produce more questions than decisions.
  • Marketing Issues keep resurfacing during Leadership L10s.
  • Marketing Rocks stay off track quarter after quarter.
  • The Issues List is filled with the same marketing issues every quarter.

That's where I fit in.

I become the executive responsible for the Marketing Leadership seat, bringing strategy, accountability, and leadership to the function while working within the EOS framework your team already runs.

I don't replace your agency.

I don't replace your marketing team.

I provide the executive marketing leadership needed to help your company make better decisions, create greater accountability, and move marketing forward with the same discipline as every other major function in your business.

If you're running EOS and suspect marketing may not have the right person in the leadership seat, I'd welcome the opportunity to have a conversation.

We'll spend fifteen minutes talking about your business, your growth goals, and whether I think I can help. If I don't think I'm the right fit, I'll tell you.
